============================================================================== CALL FOR PAPERS IEEE Transactions on VLSI Systems Special Section on Hardware/Software Codesign and System Synthesis Single chip and embedded systems become rapidly more complex and heterogeneous, which accentuates a number of old and generates a host of new design, verification and implementation problems for the development of hardware, embedded software and their integration and optimization. This special section is dedicated to aspects of design and architecture of embedded computing systems and their application. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: Architectural and system-level synthesis - Hardware-software codesign - Modeling and specification languages, their analysis and verification - Embedded systems architecture and software - Embedded systems applications Authors are encouraged to submit high-quality research contributions that will not require major revisions. Extensions of papers presented at the International Conference on Hardware/Software Codesign and System Synthesis 2004 are welcomed, but work not presented at the conference is also encouraged. The Guest Editors for the Special Section are as follows: Petru Eles Axel Jantsch Linköping University, Sweden Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden Dept. of Computer and School of Information and Information Science Communication Technology E-mail: petel@ida.liu.se E-mail: axel@kth.se All manuscripts are subject to standard T-VLSI review. Prospective authors should submit their manuscripts electronically to the TVLSI Web site http://tvlsi-ieee.manuscriptcentral.com/ and highlight that they submit to the "Special Section on Hardware/Software Codesign and System Synthesis". Please also send an E-mail to Axel Jantsch notifying him of your submission. Instructions on how to submit a paper can be found at http://tvlsi-ieee.manuscriptcentral.com/. Submission deadline: July 1, 2005 Notification of acceptance: September 15, 2005 Target publication date: December 2005 More information can be found at http://web.it.kth.se/~axel/CFP-CODES+ISSS.html or can be obtained by contacting Axel Jantsch or Petru Eles .
