The project -- building on the research expertise of the project consortium (University of Veszprem, MTA SzTAKI, Eötvös University, Sun Microsystems) and relying on the Java platform and Jini 2 technology developed by Sun -- aims to develop a Jini-based service-oriented grid architecture that enables the effective and secure execution of sequential and parallel Java programs on a national-scale system containing a large set of resources and users. In addition, it will develop a graphical application development environment that would enable the high-level design, debugging and monitoring of Web service and Jini-based parallel applications. The result of the project is a prototype of the Jini Grid systems and the graphical Web service application development environment, that would work and support the Hungarian Grid Infrastructure.
